Mentn is a live index of which domains ChatGPT cites for the questions buyers ask, searchable backwards by domain. Here is what that means, why it only counts citations, and why the name.
What the index is
Mentn runs a background crawl that asks ChatGPT the questions buyers ask (“best CRM for a small agency”, “how do I accept payments online”) and records which domains and URLs the answer cites. Every answer is saved in full and never deleted, so each row in the index traces back to real text you can read. The headline product is the reverse search: enter a domain and see every question it is cited on. Tracked projects sit on top and re-check their questions daily.
Why citation-only
A model can mention a brand name in passing; it cites a domain when it points the reader at it. Citations are the thing that sends people to a site and the thing a team can actually change, so the index counts only those. A citation is held for six months once seen, and every scan is diffed against the last so you can see what was gained, lost, or regained, not just a score that drifts.
The name
Mentn is pronounced “mention”. It is short for the question the product answers: does ChatGPT cite you, and on which questions? The site lives at mentn.ai. There is no team page because the index is the product; if you want to talk to a person, email hello@mentn.ai.
